Welcome to AutoAlert: UPI Sound Alert. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our Android application. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected, which is why our app is designed to work entirely locally on your device.

1. Information We Access and Collect

Our app is designed with a focus on your privacy. The following explains what data we access and why:

• Notifications Data: Our app requires "Notification Access" (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE) to function. We read incoming notifications exclusively to detect UPI payment confirmations (from apps like PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, etc.) to provide audio alerts. We do not have any external servers, and we do not store, monitor, or transmit your personal messages or unrelated notifications to any third party.
• Installed Applications: We request permission to query installed packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) solely to provide you with a list of apps, allowing you to select which specific payment apps you want AutoAlert to monitor.
• Google Drive Backup: Our app offers an optional auto-backup feature. With your explicit permission, the app connects to your personal Google Drive account via the Google Drive API to back up your app preferences and history. We do not have access to your Google account credentials or other files in your Drive.

2. How We Use Your Information

• The notification data is processed locally on your device in real-time to trigger the Text-to-Speech (TTS) voice alerts.
• Your app preferences and transaction history are backed up securely to your personal Google Drive account if you choose to enable the auto-backup feature. This ensures you can restore your settings if you change devices.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Your privacy is our priority. Since we do not operate any external servers, we do not collect, sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or notification data to outside parties. All processing happens 100% locally on your device, and backups are strictly between your device and your personal Google Drive account.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

• Google Play Services
• Google Drive API

5. Security

We value your trust in providing us with access to your device's notifications for payment tracking. We utilize standard Android security protocols. Your Google Drive backups are encrypted in transit over HTTPS. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
